Model 60 needs hammer

I have a long owned M60, serial R1358XX, no dash of course. I carried it as backup for some time and bobbed the hammer. Did a trigger job too. Now I just want it back to normal so to speak. Is Smith the place to send it or another option? Have to find that hammer too. Any help appreciated...

You should be able to pick up a hammer and drop it in and unless the trigger job is really light, I'd leave that alone. You should be able to find a good S&W guy in TN to work on it if you don't feel comfortable with the task. Check the big auction sites and/or gunparts for the pieces you looking to replace.

Buddy of mine just did the same thing you are doing couple of months ago. Picked up stuff pretty easy. Good luck with yours

Magnum Mark on GB usually has many S&W parts up. If you don't see what you want, use the GunBroker PM and send him a request. He usually responds within a day or two. I've seen J-frame hammers in his auctions of all color variations.
