Model 60 no dash

I have the option to buy this model 60 from a friend for $375. Seems like a stainless steal, but thought I would ask for some feedback. It's in good shape overall.....some rust inside the barrel, but nothing major.

Also, can anyone help with approximate ship date?

Just buy it. At that price you can easily recoup your money if you decide you wish to sell it.
It is becoming a much sought after carry gun.

Probably manufactured around 1975 or 1976

So '75 or '76? That's cool. My friend said I could hold on to it for a few days and see if I want it, but I guess I'll go ahead and pull the trigger. It comes with a left handed (which I am not) Bianchi #8 Shadow S&W Chief Holster.....looks old

$375 in that condition for a 60 no dash is a bargain (rust inside the barrel? Wonder if it's just dirty).

In that condition in my neck of the words, about 475 minimum.

I once bought a gun that allegedly had "rust in the barrel". Due to its condition, it was priced accordingly. Five minutes of working bore cleaner through it miraculously cleared up my "rust" problem.

I have one almost identical to that one in my hip pocket--same general serial # range. I paid $375 for mine and thought I was getting a good deal. That was five years ago. Buy that one in a hurry if you haven't already.
