I just picked up a 2" 60 38 special. Older pinned barrel gun. The gun is not in the best shape cosmetically I got it fo $180. While it did clean up pretty well, the trigger pul in double action is horrible. It feels like a 20 lb pull. Crisp let off in both double action and single action. But HEAVY.
Disassembled everthing, cleaned and lubed, but still extremely heavy pull.
Would installing a lighter rebound spring, and possibly a lighter main spring, (prefer not to) dramaticly reduce the trigger pull?

P.S. I have another 60 and a 36 with nice lighter triggers. Same cleanup proceedure when they were bought.

I've installed 13 lb rebound springs and 8.5 lb hammer springs on three different J-frames and have yet to have one misfire. The trigger pull on all three are really nice now.

Your welcome. :D
I have several J frames. I keep one of those Wolf Spring kits for the J frame around in case I find another one I can't pass up.
