A gentleman on a local forum has a Model 60 with adjustable sights. It is in good shape and has the box, but the front sight has been altered with a red ramp. At the moment he is only looking to trade but I have a minty 2" Combat Masterpiece he may be interested in. Anybody have a good idea of what a value might be on his gun with the front sight altered. I might be interested in trading him but don't want to "overtrade". I know they only made about 600 of these little guns and it would be neat to have! Here is the pic he provided on the forum-

I would say the red ramp insert is not a deal-killer if you like the gun otherwise. A nice 2" model 15 would be about even or slightly in your favor in trade.

Looks like it has been polished. Here are some comments from the sellers post...

Front ramp has been professional cut and added a red insert and has a jewel hammer and trigger and action as smooth as a nice colt python so the value is not there but needless to say its a one of a kind. Also have the oringinal box for it! It's also highly polished and just beautiful to look at.

Sounds like my gun may be worth more than his; I may just keep mine or sell it since I also have a shooter grade Model 15 snubbie. I also have a nice Smith model 60, just thought it would be neat to have one with adjustable sights. Appreciate the comments, that's why I wanted to check here before I made a decision.
