So I recently purchased a 610-3 that looks very new-no flame cutting -no lead in barrel and old owner said he purchased it new and sat in his safe.
I guess I am kinda wondering why there isn't much on the forums pertaining to this model.
I paid $700.00 including a TK Clip loader and 10 TK moon clips and 2 boxes of Sig Sauer 180gr personal protection ammo.
Is this a fair price.

I think that IS a good deal, especially with the price of ammo these days. Not sure why there isn't more buzz about the 610s here, but they are fun revolvers. Have fun with yours.

You did well. In fact I was in the same forum telling him I wanted it and then backed out when he told me someone else also wanted it. I kind of regret not getting it in fact. I just really have the itch for a large three inch and have a hard time warming up to the smiths with locks that I already own. If you get tired of it let me know.

Thanks for all the replies-I haven't spent a real lot of time with the S&W brand-I did own a 586 blued many years ago that I had bought new-from what I remember that pistol had a very nice trigger.

Will do if that happens.

I regularly see new 610s in stores at $850ish. Back in the 89/90 when the first 10s showed up, you couldn't give em away. Now the no dash and dash 1 610s are very desirable and priced accordingly. I waited a long time to find my dash 1. Besides their utility and good looks, they're a lot of fun to shoot with 40 or 10mm. I'd love to find a 5" no dash.

610 Cylinder?

Is the 610 with an unfluted cylinder still available? I looked on the S&W website and not find any mention of a '610 Classic'. Thanks, Ed

The 610 is a great revolver.I love mine ,it was given to me by a friend several years ago. It works great with Rimz moon clips.

The 4" and 6" 610 models in current production both have fluted cylinders.

There're 610-3s in each bbl length at my LGS that have been languishing in the display case for at least 6 months. $849 or $899, can't remember

I want a no dash or a -1. The lock will never win me over. OP, if your 3" didn't have the lock, my wallet would have broken the sound barrier.

How I wish they would make an L frame 10. I've handled 610s, nice trigger like any N-frame but I'd like the 10 in a more compact gun.
PS. That's a steal for your steel.

Here's my 5" no dash and 6.5" dash 2. The factory combats are ok but I prefer VZ or as in the case on the dash 2 a reshaped Hogue.
