I just received a S&W Model 620 357 magnum revolver from my wife for Christmas! It is a great shooter, very accurate, and now I am beginning the search for a concealable holster.

Any ideas? From what I have read it is an L frame but it will fit in a K frame holster.

I prefer kydex but I am open to leather- must ride high so the 4" barrel doesn't show.

I appreciate the input.

I strongly recommend you call Kevin Manley at K&D Holsters or Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged Holsters and ask them if they can make you a pancake holster to meet your needs.

Kevin's models are the Eagle and Laredo Defenders, Rob's is the Sourdough Pancake.

Check out FIST holsters. They make Kydex/leather hybrid holsters. You will want one with a cant (#2 IWB?). That is a big powerful revolver, I'll bet it will serve you well.

Make sure you use a real gunbelt, if you don't already have one. Wyatt Earp and I have been extremely pleased with ours from www.thebeltman.net . Mine is a 1 3/4" dual layer bullhide belt, and I carry L and N frame revolvers IWB with mine. BTW,I don't think many makers K frame holsters will fit an L frame properly. Also.....welcome to the forum.
