I am looking at a new model 63. Can one get round to square grips for this J frame. I don't like the real small round butt.

Thanks

There are many mfg's that make Rd to Sq grips for the J Frame and it does help a lot making it more shootable. Have you tried the J Frame Targets?

S&W makes these, kind of square.

I installed the 60 Pro grips on my new to me 63-5 also. Here are a set of J targets on a 63-4 5" that will fit the round or square butt frame.

I have a set square butt set for sale on Ebay that have the finger grooves. They fit my 63 very well and have a great feel to them. Listed as Square Butt Target Grips for Smith and Wesson J frame. If you are interested and you can't locate them Pm me and I will get you the item number.

Hi:

Attached are photos of the after market grips I added to my Model 34-1. I'm told the grips are Herret "Shooting Masters". Though I have small hands, the stock grips were just too small for me. The stock grips, along with a skinny, serrated trigger made the little revolver difficult to shoot either comfortably, or well. The new grips, along with a wider, non-serrated trigger makes this Kit Gun very pleasant to shoot.

Good luck,

Dave
