Trying tobremove the bolt to get at the internal lock without success. Supposed to push bolt back towards rear of frame and lift it out. When i push bolt back all the way it still won't clear the frame to lift it out. Worked fine on my 642. Any suggestions?

Use a whittled down piece of wood (chopstick maybe) and press the front end of the bolt to the rear from inside the cylinder window then lift the front end when it clears. A bit of oil will help too.

Best Regards,

i too am interested in how you get this done, awaiting your resolution post sir...

I did that operation and replaced the hole with The Plug years back. I followed Plug Guy's instructions.

After a decade plus of regular carry, the aesthetics of The Lock/Hole/Plug are kinda moot, given the outside wear on my daily companion. But the loss of useless Lock complexity was worth it.
