Most likely a 1981 build… front sight modification, weird barrel fit (?, tough to say for sure {thanks ladder13}) and bobbed hammer (DAO?)….? Interesting…

Picked it up at estate auction, I thought it would be a great carry gun for my wife. Yes DAO, nicely done. I was thinking it was an old PD off duty piece. As far a barrel fit, idk, looks good to me. I was thinking the bob was done at the factory. Here’s the other side.

Looks like the front sight mod could increase snagging and I would imagine whomever altered the sight also altered the hammer. Hope you got a good deal.

Any markings within the yoke area, right above the serial number stamping?

S/N is on the butt. Here are the yoke markings. Any idea what all these yoke , grip markings are? I got it for $460, I routinely drop 1 -2K on German PP, PPk and 38Hs so it was a deal to me 😆

Looks legit other than the replaced ramp sight.

At first glance the fit looked weird. You got a decent deal, I see them going for more, if you can find one.

My "book" has the serial number within 1981.
