I have two Model 64s and I would like to know what is the best stuff to clean Gun powder residue off stainless steel after going to the range.

Are you referring to ordinary cleaning, or are you asking how to get the flash-marks off the face of the cylinder?

My issued 64 is now 30 years old & all I've ever used on it was standard cleaning fluids, Breakfree the past several of those years.
But, I'm not one who has to polish stainless guns or scrub off the rings on the front of the cylinder.

Your everyday cleaning solvent should get 90% of it off. However, if you want to get those rings off the cylinder face completely, nothing works like a Lead Remover & Polishing Cloth. It will remove all traces of lead and fouling with just a little effort.
Birchwood Casey makes a good one although there are others.
