A slick Model 65-3 followed me home from a gun show today. Serial number ABS 95xx could someone tell me the year of birth please. Thanks.

No camera for pics sorry to say. S&W purchases keeps the camera purchase out.

It looks like a 1983 gun according to SCSW III. What barrel length? I sure like shooting my own 65. Pure gun - no pretense.

Thanks for the info. It has a 4 inch barrel. It is like my other 2 Smith's one sweet trigger. I am going to have to stay away from them as they seem to be addictive.

So is mine later with a AHJ 24xx number? I just bought it today, nice gun & trigger. I may have to set the semi-autos aside for awhile.
