So im searching for wood boot grips that are slim in circumference. I jist got some Badger grips in and theyre beautiful but they make my snub feel like im gripping a glock 21. Too much grip for the size gun I think.

I liked how the slim pachs that came with it made the gun feel handy, however I just like the look and feel of wood more.

Any exp with Eagle Grips Secret Service boot style?

Anyone make slim wood boot grips?

Think these badgers will give me an excuse to buy a 686+ in 3 inch as I feel that will be "enough gun" for that grip.

Those grips are pretty.
If you're handy, you could file and then sand them down to get the fit you desire.
I'm not aware of any grip manufacturers that are known for making slim wood grips but others here might.

Altamonts have always been fairly slim to me. I dont have badgers to compare. Next best thing compared to ahrends imo.

Welcome! I'd look for factory K RB Target stocks, relatively narrow side to side and front to back but fill the space between the front grip strap and the rear of the trigger guard.

Here are the original grips. Makes for a handy feel. Eagle boot grips look good as the next set to try that are about the same length.

I have found the S&W round butt target grips to be comfortable and (for me) the closest fit to the Pachmayr Compact grips.

The only K frame that I have them photographed on is this Model 13.

Another option are Craig Spegel extended boot grips. They seem to be difficult to come by. Here is a set that I was lucky enough to find several years ago (on a 547).

My sorely missed 66 wore Pachmayr's which fit like a glove and I couldn't imagine replacing them with wood.

If you could find a set of Ahrends grips that didn't cost so much that would be your solution.

Unfortunately since he is out of business the prices are through the roof.

I love the round butt targets. You can find them checkered or smooth.

The checkered version is better if you're shooting more than 38spl ammo.

I have a bunch of the round butt targets, and use them on 3" fixed sight K frames. For my adjustable sight 2 1/2" and 3" K frames I tend to go with combat grips.

The standard wood RB grips with a silver T grip from Tyler or Robindon's are also a nice combination, and less expensive.

If you're looking for slim boot grips, you will like the Eagle Secret Service stocks. They are indeed slim. I have them on my 65-5 Lady Smith and my 3" Colt Python.

Even though they are slim, they are very comfortable to hold.

You can see how slim and concealable they are on the photos below.

These are extremely comfortable for me. I am a Herrett fan. These are close to Herrett RKR grips, but started out as sq. butt checkered. Bob

So many choices. I need more guns to house my stash of grips.

Regarding Badger Grips, I have a couple sets for N frames. Although nice to look at, the finger grooves and spacing are too wide for my M-L hands. They may work for Sasquatch, unfortunately, not me. :(

Here's my 610-1 with Badgers. I wish the ergonomics were different.

I've had these grips on that model 19 for so many years I can't even remember where they came from or who made them. I'll pull them off in a bit and see if there's a maker's mark. Seems like I can remember "Secret Service" being in their description but not sure.
