i found this model 66 at a gun store over a month ago and bought it that very same day as it is very difficult to find in this location. first thing i did was replace the rubber grips with a set of spegels and took it out to the range where it shot great. when i was cleaning the gun, i used a lead away cloth to clean off the build up of lead on the face of the cylinder, which i could not remove with a bronze brush. the side plate screws are a little buggered up but since one screw is fitted to the gun, i don't know if i will change them. other than a few light scratches, the gun looks fine and the timing and lockup is good. price paid was $475 and the box was not available, unfortunately.

I bought a 2.5 inch 66-5 some years ago.
It shoots well and I like having it around.
Also have a 2.5 inch M19 that I bought when I didn't think I was going to find an M66. Funny how that works sometimes.

Doesn't get any better than that. Congrats! Regards 18DAI.

Hi,
First I would like to thank who ever started this site. I really enjoy the reading the posts and learning from all the knowledgeable prople.
I recently purchased a mod 66-7 from a local dealer who said that the gun bought back from Austraila police and redistrubited to wholesalers here in the US. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks in advance.
