I would guess around 1993 .
The "Alpha" serial prefix began in the early 80's which is too late to be a Model 66... My guess is its actually a Model 66-3 ?

Should be stamped in the yoke cut

Bnb to bnw prefix shows February and march 1993 as 49 guy says. A 20 year old or so revolver in a 66 nice gun

Interesting Visit at LPS

Went back the third time to try and negotiate the price on a nice 66-3.
The sales ticket was labeled 66-1 and I showed him it was a 66-3. Original price was $500 but when went back he had increased price to $560 plus 9% tax since he said it was an $800 gun.
I offered him $550 out the door.
Now figure this. He said he had to recover his cost. Showing me the pawn ticket he had given $500 for a Bersa? 380 and the 66-3. I told him at $550 he would make a good return on the 66-3
Again he said he could not recover his cost. The guns were pawned 2 months ago and his interest charges were $250 which he was adding to the cost of the gun. I left without the nice 66-3 and my cash in my pocket.

Can someone please help me date a Model 66?
S/N BNR5439

There's something about that serial number that looks familiar.

Take out the N and the 3, and I think I see it. :)

I'm also guessing that it's a 66-3.
