Hello all. I am asking for opinions and information regarding value of an all original, unfired, still in original box, stainless steel 2.5" .357 magnum, Model 66. There are handwritten annotations on the paperwork, apparently from the factory, regarding the sights on the firearm.

Hi. What are they? Sights seem normal and correct.

By the way. Really nice M66!

A no dash 66 2.5” with original box? To the right buyer $1100 bargain price to $1500 or even higher, at least if it was mine I’d value it at $1500 and then some might even think that would be low.

The end label appears normal fyi.

You have struck gold! You have one of the most coveted revolvers S&W ever made and it's pristine! I would bet you would get (if you are selling it) way over actual "listed value" because of the original accoutrements and condition. While I'd bet there were still a few of these around and still NIB, they are far and few between these days.

Picture Update with annotations

Attached are images to show more detail. There are handwritten notes, I can only assume factory notations.

More images of the 66

A few more pictures. Enjoy

Would you shoot it, sell it, or just keep it in the safe for yourself?

Well 413 is an area code in Massachusetts so those numbers could be phone numbers if those are what you’re referring to.

Every 2.5” 66 or 19 I’ve owned were great shooters. Yours would be considered a collector piece by many but I no longer own anything that I won’t shoot. Good luck deciding the future of that very fine revolver.
