I have wanted a nice model 67 for a while. But every time I bid on one on Gunbroker some one would outbid me by a significant amount. So I changed my approach a little and started bidding on less nice condition revolvers and finally ended up with this. It is mechanically in very fine shape and should make a good shooter. I will find out about the shooting soon. I really like the PD markings I think that is probably what kept the price down in my range.

That police dept inscription wouldn't bother me a bit. The model 67 is a great gun.

Great gun! Get a trigger job on it and shoot the heck out of it. Yolo County, CA is just West of Sacramento. ........... Big Cholla

Nice find. Working guns are great to own and shoot. And a 67 no dash is a great find.

Ya done good.

"YOLO"...You Only Live Once. If you got that revolver for $400.00 or less you did good. If you paid a bit over that you still did good. Guns are not cheap in my area.

If you do not have a holster, a Galco such as this will ride high on the belt and is very concealable. Note that many of the custom holster makers on the forum offer similar products. The stag stocks are by Patrick Grashorn.

The Bianchi 5BH and 5BHL are fine field holsters. Again, check the custom makers.

Nice M67, will make a nice keeper for a very long time.

Yolo County is just north of here I live, I would not mind finding one.

Watch eBay for older Bianchi 5B or 5BL (lined) holsters discontinued in the late 70s. They ride about an inch lower than the 5BH/5BHLs which is more comfortable and makes drawing easier. You will see about a dozen of them a year in condition from well-worn to still-new-in-bag. I have four of them and am still looking for a couple more.

Update: just poked my head into eBay and found a new 5B listing. Plain black, unlined, 1 3/4" belt loop. This one is for "S&W 38/357," in other words an M19 or M66 2 1/2". Starting bid is $50 but the condition is pretty,a fair place to start.

Congrats on a great score!

I wish I grabbed one of the 67s they were selling on J&G's website about a year ago.

I like the Yolo County markings. Working guns are cool.

Very nice gun, I like it and I like the YOLO marking on it as well. Enjoy your new firearm.

You have latched on to one of the first year production with stainless sights. These have become the most desirable of the 67s for collectors.

Congratulations.
Richard

I sure like Model 67's and yours is good! Deals are out there...last year I saw this 1972 production 67 at a gun show for $435. I waited until a week after the show and offered $350 and took it home. No box or documents, but it is in excellent shape and appears hardly used. M67's shoot very well, handle beautifully, and carry easily. Nice catch.

BTW - You got a GREAT price on that firearm!

Surely the OP is joking. "less nice condition"... I know I'm laughing.

Good for you! I keep an eye out for those in perfect condition. But at the end of the story; I'm fine paying a reasonable price for a good condition shooter. I picked up this 67-1 for $425 off GB and was able to meet the guy and do the deal FTF. So that was great.

GREAT acquisition!! Former LE guns are most usually wonderful firearms, carried a lot and shot very little. Clean her up and shoot, repeat often.
