Good Morning Society Members,
I took my Model 67 and her little sister Model 60 to the range yesterday for some practice.
I have walnut target grips on the Model 67 and found it hard to hang onto , I swapped the grips for the original smaller grips, more of the same. I am considering Hogue grips for her to allow me to hang on and enjoy firing her, as she is a classic .38 Special revolver. I'm not shooting "hot" cartridges, so not sure why I'm not hanging on as well as I should. I have Pachmayr grips on the Model 60 and have no problem at all. I'd appreciate any sage advice from folks more knowledgeable than me.

:) If your hands are on the small size you might have this
problem. Some Hogues may solve this problem. Just keep
the wood grips for looks. Don

Yes, I too agree, but like anything else, just cause they are "large, and maybe even checkered" nothing to keep "finished wood" from slipping around in your hand...if the rubber grips were NO good, they would not be selling as many as they have over all these years...as well as so many types & makers of them......they work, but make sure you keep them grease (oiled) underneath them , or they can and will cause the grip frame to rust up on you...they are , after all made of rubber, and will NOT absorb moisture, and condensate going from hots & colds......

good luck.......................and Happy new year

Find a rubber grip that fits well and watch that gun become a part of you. For me, a Pachmayr "Gripper" makes a K-frame perfect.

In your case, I wouldn't worry about greasing under them.

Pachmayrs work well on the 67.

+1 on the Pachmayer Gripper. It fits my hand very well, and also good for taming recoil. But, since I shoot mostly .22 and .38 Spl., I just like the way the grip feels in my hand. When I'm shooting.....looks don't matter one bit!!! Bob

Go with the Pachmayr Presentation model, and you can't go wrong. See prior post of the M37 with this grip. One of the first, and still the best. Last forever.
