Model 681-3 in .38spl.

I picked this beauty up from a collector I know. Got the original box, paperwork, tools. I have read all I can find about this model. I think I know the answer but wanted to just put it out there to you all. My 681-3 was one of a special group of 465 that were manufactured for the Conrail Police. They were chambered in .38spl rather than the standard .357mag. Am I fine with putting .38spl. +P's through it? Thank you in advance for any input or information.

Designed to shoot full house 357's, just not chambered for it. You could look into some 38/44 style loads if you want more bang. All day long.

P.S. Conrail Police. That 'job' had a different title every time the RR changed owners. Anyone out there remember all the various designations. I remember PennCentral Police...

That bad boy was designed for a lifetime of full house .357 magnum loads. Any legitimate .38 load ever made should be fine in it.
