Model Mark/Serial Number

There is a current auction that has a Model 15 for sale. The serial number indicates it was made in 1956 but according to the seller, it is marked Model 15-3. There are not any photos of the marking but I questioned it and was told the serial number is correct and it is marked. Does anyone have any idea how that could happen. Thanks.

Obviously he is misreading something. If it's marked 15-3 then I assume he is misreading the serial.

That serial seems to be correct for a 15-3 1974 gun. Note the stocks have no diamond if they are original. Very poor photos in the listing.

The number I saw didn't have any digits in front of the K and six digits behind the K.

There are several 15-3's listed on GB. If you list the auction number then maybe we can figure out which one. No link, just the number.
