Also, the early 15s had a tapered barrel and the 19 had three different thicknesses of barrels, most of which were larger than the 15. Also the 19s had a wider rib.
 
Sparkman10mm is basically correct, but there are a couple of other differences that could be considered significant.

First, the M15 came with either a 2" or 4" barrel and a ramp front sight, with only a few relatively rare exceptions. The M19 could be had with a 2-1/2", 3", 4", or a 6" barrel, and a Patridge front sight was available with the longer barrel lengths. A 4" barrel with a ramp front sight is far and away the most common configuration on both guns, however.

Second, the M15 never came with a recessed cylinder. I don't consider this a deal-stopper because the recessed cylinder has no practical function (that's a story for another thread

), but since so many people make a big deal over P&R Model 19s, I'll mention it anyway.
