I never really was happy with those koa stocks I made for my 627PC a few years back. Some things I couldnt do anything about but one thing I could.
From this

To this, which to me at least look better and a little smaller if nothing else. Could have done more sculpting but wanting to keep blending finishes to a minimum and theyre actually more comfortable.

I have similar taste, years ago the Smith rep gave me a set of n-frame square butt, finger groove combat stocks. I'm sure they were rare and valuable but they would only be comfortable for sasquatch, I liked the feel of the more recent combat grips. A short time later with a wood rasp, sandpaper and true-oil, I had much more comfortable and useful grips.

In all honesty I just dont like the look of S&W's RB combats, especially the SB models. Culina grips makes some nice ones.
One thing I wish I had done to these is just replicate the tops of the stock grips, they just look like the belong ro S&W's. But no I had to try and be different, plus theyre a bit thin in the upper area. Ejected cases sure clear them as do moon clips and speed loaders. This is one of those fancy nancy 8 shooters.
Oh well, cant put wood back on now. They sure are fitting in my hand though for sure. They feel really ergonomic and its not like the 357 has much recoul, especially in an N frame.
