Modified my stock grip >>>>

Haven't even shot the new gun yet, but knew that the stock grip wasn't going to work. The little finger "bump" just irritated the **** out of my ring finger so it had to go. I removed the grip (thankfully I had come across the youtube video explaining the 2 detent springs).... I cut off the bump with a hacksaw, filed it down smooth, and hit it with 200 grit sand paper. The result is a stock grip I can now live with for a while. :D

I agree with you completely. I have the A2 style grip. I did exactly the same thing. I purchased a CAA P16 grip to replace it with, but am currently looking at a H&K 416 style grip because it is thinner.

I don't even know the point behind the finger bump.

That was nice work. I whittled mine off with a pocket knife then did some 600 and 1200 grit paper to smooth things out.

Looks good I was thinking about doing the same thing to my 15-22. But I got the Mapgul K Grip instead. But your pic just convinced me to do it on the stock grip and put it on my stripped lower.
