OK, I will acknowledge that this may be impractical or stupid, certainly unnecessary.
For purely cosmetic reasons, and to make a common M36 2" barrel look as much like a M19 2 1/2" as possible (because this is the best looking revolver known to man), I would (maybe) like to bevel the front portion of the underbarrel lug (where the ejector rod locks up) to make it look like the angled forward portion of a K-frame M19 underlug.
Could this be done by a competent 'smith without damaging the function of the little spring-loaded doohickey that locks into the end of the ejector rod?
