Happy Mothers Day all.
I need help with value on the pictured grips.
The wife picked up the HE in a package deal. At some point it had a REALLY bad refinish and nickel job.
I figure the revolver is a donor gun for parts, making the grips worth more than the gun itself.
Anyone have an idea what the grips might be worth?
Thanks for any help.
Mike

It's a K-frame
Yes there is a small chip. Had to look after you ask.

Find a clam shell with a thick layer of MOP (oyster shells work fine) or a broken MOP stock. Grind out just the pearl from the inside of the shell and grind it into a very fine consistency, then mix it with 2 part clear epoxy. Clean out the chip with acetone and apply tape around the chip. Slightly overfill the chip and work it into the chip. Let it fully cure for a couple days. Carefully smooth the surface and polish when epoxy has set hard. Only caution is to do the grinding outdoors in order to avoid the MOP dust, which is reported to be toxic.
