More Alvin White

Beautiful! No... Uber Beautiful!!!

Fabulous collection. Truly the epitome of guns as art. Thank you so much for sharing. Incredible photos.

Just made the tiger my home page. Now I can drool every day when I turn on my computer. Beautiful 44.

No Adjective Does this Artwork Justice

Alvin White & Keith Brown share similar positions with their ability to create true works of art. As always Bill your .44 Magnum Revolvers are unequaled. Appreciate the opportunity to view them.

I needed an Alvin White fix today, so I'm throwing these beauties to the top for a little more air time...:)

Could you post a pic of the signature? Be nice to know what an authentic AW signature looks like on a gun.

Thanks

Photo linked from a Julia auction...

It's the same on all of my AAW engraved guns.

The second was done in 1956 for the President of Rex Firearms in NYC.

Bill.

You are killing me here.

I'm not really one for engraved guns usually, but every time I see a picture of this one I am filled with desire. It feels wrong, but I know it isn't. It's so so right.

It's kind of annoying, I don't want just "any" engraved gun, not even any Alvin White. I just want that gun. That one. It's so awesome in so many ways.

Killing me... just.. killing me.

One of my very favorite guns as well ... and the other side is just as beautiful...:)

I have posted photos of the right side of this 44 Magnum that was engraved in October 1956 by Alvin White showing the inlay of the "Tiger in the Grass". However, the left side is just as interesting with the Inidian with the turban and exquisite detail Mr. White went to in creating this inlay.

Amazing guns, Bill.

I am just asking from an educational stand point, because I truly have no idea: What does an Alvin White engraved S&W typically go for?

I have never seen one for sale. I am just curious what the very top end would be. I understand price on certain items is a wildcard. Is this something that would go $10K, $20K?

By asking the question, I am in no way intending to take away from it. It is a historical piece and as a collector I have it in the utmost respect.

Should you wish not to comment, I understand completely. Just trying to learn is all.

Thanks for sharing Bill.
Wonderful work by Mr. White.
Keep those beauties in Indiana.

Chuck

AA White was obviously on top of his game. Those are all "Masterpieces(works of art)" and he must have loved doing this.

Thank you for sharing, Bill. Made my evening.
