A few weeks ago, Clem Burke, drummer for Blondie, passed away. Nobody is the best at anything but he was a beast on the drums and apparently worked with some scientist/doctor guy who was doing some kind of research on longevity and Clem kept going after he should've been face first on a drum. Anyhow, he was one of the best at his trade. He played, or sat in, for a few other bands when Blondie was on break. (He played on a left-handed drum kit like Ringo. I never knew there was a difference.)
Just a couple days ago Rick Derringer died. One heckuva guitarist. He was guitarist for McCoys, "Hang On Sloopy", and I think "Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo" as a solo artist. I saw him back in the '70s but don't remember much about that.
Like another dead guy said, "No One Here Gets Out Alive."
RIP, gentlemen...

It’ll be a sad day when Keef goes. See em 15 times. Last June we went down to Orlando to see them. They sounded better than ever. Keef did have to sit down for a couple songs tho.

For the last 45+ years I have been trying to get out to see old time rock and roll performers while they are still able to perform. I never got to see performers like Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Marty Robbins and Jackie Wilson while they were alive.
