More epilepsy news.

Dear S&W I have some more epilepsy news. I got my blood work results yesterday from the doctor and he has put me on a high dose on the medicine and wants to do another round of blood work in two weeks.

apparently the level of medicine in my blood is very low and it needs to be higher. So the dosage goes up and more blood work soon.

Sir, If the reason for the seizures isn't apparent, I would urge you to meet with another doctor; perhaps a neurosurgeon, who is interested in finding the cause.

My wife had some seizures, and the doctor at the ER simply called it epilepsy, and prescribed medicine. We took her to a neurosurgeon, and after several scans, he found a malformed bloodvessel that had begun to leak. Hed this not been found and corrected, she would have died of an aneurysm in a short time. Surgery corrected it and all is well.
It is my opinion that a seizure is the body's way of trying to deal with something wrong in the brain, just as a sneeze is used to clear the nasal passages. I would want to find out why.
