I just can’t catch a break. Ever since I fell last year my right calf has been swelling more than usual. My right foot too. My heart doctor says it’s blood. I started getting water blisters on my foot.
I was sent to a vascular doctor. I have a vein that’s not functioning in my right calf. The blood isn’t returning. He wants to cauterized it. I believe I have deep vein thrombosis. It’s a blood clot in the leg. It just never ends. I feel like just letting nature take its course. I wear those support compression stockings.

Went to a ear doctor on Friday my ears were plugged up with wax couldn’t hear. She somehow scratches my ear on the inside so I left there bleeding a little. She should of been a meat cutter.

I’m doing great, on a roll. What do I want for Christmas? Nothing I’m walking proof that meds work. Lol just kidding.

Life in the fast lane from now on. Full speed ahead.

I have so many things wrong with me and I’m still here. I have no regrets I’m ready to meet my maker at his will. I’m not afraid to leave here.

I can relate. A year ago Sept. I went in for open heart surgery. They opened my chest and put a pig valve in. I felt pretty good for 6-7 months. Then I developed "shortness of breath" about August. Cardiologist tells me " your fine". After visits with him over 4 months and 4 "your fines" I see a new to me GP and she recommends 3-4 tests including a electrocardiogram. Since she's not trained to read the echo test results my cardiologist gets the privilege. I've known the guy for four years and for the first time ever two weeks ago he calls me at home all concerned. The upshot is that sometime in the next couple weeks they crack my chest again do more maintenance.

Ugg. Yes had issuses with cardiologist been their too.
One almost killed me with your fine thing. That was August 2013 a week latter at hospital for open heart and mechanical valve installed was in that hospital for over a month that time. Moral Of story don't take your fine thing when you know your not. That's very common with cardiologist. I think I now have one that I will keep. I don't play with any of them. I am a model patient but have fired a few doctors since 2013. You have always had to be your own health advocate but it seemes you really have to be on top of it now. Me always have some med knowledge in E M S has helped. But I got tell ya I have had more than one snice that we weren't on the same book let alone page. My. Heart Surgeon gave me all the ins and outs before surgery and told in my case alot of even cardoligst aren't going to grasp your needs or condition.

My regular md looks at my blood test and says the white cells and red cells the numbers are off, that’s all he says. Now I’m wondering what’s up. Cancer again? My PSA number is zero my urologist says so my prostate is ok. I’m so tired of moron doctors beating around the bush just spit it out.
So I can go on a spending spree.

Hoping the best for ya Bill.
In my case, the doctors took so long with the test results and diagnosis that by the time they had come up with a treatment, it was too late and the damage was irreversible.
My neurologist did offer to help by helping me to get an electric wheelchair and a prescription for narcotics....

Bill please don't give up. Better day's might be just around the corner. I,m a few years younger than you but have had my share of health problems also 2 blood clots 1 in each leg.
I've been on Warfrin and now Xarelto .I also wear compression socks though they don't seem to help much. I'll be going back to the Doctor's Wed. for more follow up.
p/s I will add you to my prayer list.

One of the benefits of having an RN for a wife. She doesn't let any of our doctors (at last count there were six of them) get away with obfuscation.

don't be so eager to meet your maker.
lots of good food still to enjoy.
most of us here seem to have bad things happening to us, but we gotta fight.

When I had prostate cancer in the beginning it was psa of 4.1 by the time they were planning my treatment it was up to 8.4. One doctor says it’s non aggressive the other doctor says it’s aggressive. I like doctors. Now it’s zero on the PSA.

Your feet has gotten you this far---keep going. Just because shoes get worn-torn and loose the luster is no reason to get rid of them,,,besides they are broken in.
Also there is 100% more Sunshine top side,,,,keep cathing the rays..

Thank you,

prayers sent... I understand the battle... I am now 51 years old but died when I was 49 during my efforts to be a cancer survivor... 2 doctor appointments last week and hopefully only the one this coming week... I am at peace with the thought of seeing my maker, there is an internal peace that comes with that... I also am not in a hurry to meet my maker understanding it is not up to me when that gets to happen... fight the good fight until it is over... it is not up to us

BigBill,

Do not even consider quitting the fight. You are not a loser. As. As as it is, it could be worse. Your problem is reversible and you need to dedicate your will to seeing that process through. You can do it. You have to do it. Dedicate yourself to the fight. Your body’s enemy is not invincible.

In the Corps we had a simple belief. We fought battles to win. If it ever happened that we did not win a battle, we were OK with that because we knew the other side realized it had just been in the worst fight of its life.

Take a holiday from remorse and anxiety and find a way to R&R. Then come back fighting like a warrior. You can do it.

My inside plumbing is falling apart .. seems things start falling apart right after we retire !!

If I would have known how many different drugs I would need at my age I would have invested in drug companies !!!
