Had a great show, found this M&P, SV 806,198 with matching stocks.

A 1956 K38 and two nice sets of KB prewar magnas.

Also found a Lyman Super Targetspot scope for my Winchester mod.75, can't wait to get it to the range!

you did GOOD, and the pictures are excellent...glad you made out welll at the show, yessir, was some neat stuff there for sure............

Thanks everyone, Keiths work is incredible.

Yes Keith that's the K38 you looked at, I traded into it, could not resist.

The picture really shows the difference in the lines per inch of the checkering
between the M&P and the K38. It's the first set like this I have found for sale.

Hi Mike:

Nice stuff indeed. Your M+P is what we Victory Model collectors would describe as a "Civilian Victory", as it has the SV serial prefix. If you take a close look at it I suspect that you will notice on the butt a plug installed where the lanyard ring hole once was. The factory finished that so finely that they are often not noticed.

Also, take a look on the right side of the frame, just underneath the area where the top of the Magna stock fits. You will likely see a small letter "s". This signifies that the safety hammer block has been installed. Both of these little features are vestigial holdovers from the wartime Victory Model.

An excellent example of a Civilian Victory Model.

Glad you're happy with the k-38, Mike. I always look forward to the OGCA meetings, and talking with you and other S&W collectors. Makes me feel better about my S&W addiction!

I sure like the M&P and those grips are exquisite, well done.
