Actually for a Ruger LCR, but who out there makes the best, lowest profile, most concealable outside the waistband holster for a snug nose?

Thanks!!

LCR Holster

IMO there are several equally good ones from Galco, Desantis, El Paso Saddlery, Simply Rugged, Lobo Leather, etc. If you order a new one make certain that you specify Ruger LCR because the LCR frame shape is a bit different from a J frame S&W.

My favorite is the Bianchi Shadow 8L, IIRC. I am unsure if this model is still offered, though similar models by other makers exist.

Galco offers a model similar to their Combat Master for revolvers.

I would recommend the DeSantis Speed Scabbard. They also make a thumbsnap model. The model number on this one is 002. All day comfortable. I could also recommend the Kramer Belt Scabbard in Horsehide. More expensive but built like a tank. Your grandchildren will be wearing it.

1) Depends on body type
2) Cross draw or strong side
3) Belt loop or paddle or other
4) My most concealable J Frame Holster is a PHL Enigma, but that’s not OWB

I like a well-constructed Pancake holster for revolver OWB carry.

The Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake would be a strong contender for me.

Agreed! Wear mine regularly…

I have a similar holster to the one Colby Bruce shows in his first picture. Mine is lined and the workmanship is typical old-Bianchi, which is to say very nice, but I can’t be sure of the model number either. 8L seems correct. It has just about the perfect shape for keeping the gun close to my side without carrying around a ton of leather I don’t need. Very nice design.

It is fine under a jacket or sweatshirt, for cooler weather where I live. In warmer weather, I rarely wear a shirt untucked, so I’m not sure how well it conceals in that mode. Would probably be ok if your shape allows it.
