The wife and I just returned from seeing the movie "Act of Valor." I highly recommend it to all. Great story and there is a lot of different weapons used. I thank the Navy Seals and all the U.S. forces for their service!!! Skip48
it is fiction, loosely based on a true story. it started with the seals just being there for accuracy, but the directors decided to use the real seals once they met them. the seals kinda took over and basically did all of the action. the directors told them what they wanted and the seals said(paraphrasing of course) "ok this how we would do that." then they did it. they used live rounds, and like said the seals were the primary actors. i enjoyed the movie so much that i will be in the stores the day it comes out on bluray.
Heard the directors interviewed on local radio last week -- impressive project. This is the first film made with live fire since the early part of the 20th century. Anyone in uniform in the film is active duty. It took four years to make and they did it for just $12m. Can't wait to see it!
