mp 3.6 slide question

have a m&p 2.0 3.6 compact (not sub compact) will a 4" barrel fit on frame? seen some 4" optic slides on ebay, i know my frame is shorter than 4" frame, but will it work?

Yes, the 4" slide will "fit" on the 3.6 frame. That said, it looks stupid because there is about .4" of the recoil spring exposed at the end of the 3.6 frame's dust cover. It will cycle (by hand at least) but there is absolutely no reason to do this.
