Lone Wolf Distributors sells a 9mm conversion barrel. I ran one for a while and it worked as it should. Or you could buy a complete complete slide and swap them out. They need to be from the same generation (1.0 and 2.0 do not mix). Either way you will need some 9mm magazines...

I have the 1.0 Shield 40. Have had it for a long time.

I have a 357 Sig conversion for it and that works great.

I also have a 9mm conversion with 9mm magazines .....got it in my cargo pants pocket as I key this.

Both the 9mm and 357 Sig barrels came from TR Enabling (now Remsport I think) They have been flawless.

The gun has never had any kind of a problem other than I swapped the trigger with an Apex Duty Carry kit years ago. Might be time for a RSA after approximately 4500 rounds but shows no signs of any problem.

My only displeasure with the gun is not the gun but S&W. would like higher capacity magazines for the regular Shields (9, 40 and 45). I do not like having to reload while at the range.

My experience with a lone wolf conversion barrel wasn't good, FTF FTE with both CCI and WWB.

I have a Shield .40 and bought a TR Enabling/Remsport 9mm drop in conversion barrel. It's been in the Gun for around two years and no problems with it. It literally was a drop in, chambered and ejected fine. Took it to the range and proceeded to run a hundred rounds of Blazer through it flawlessly.

I have conversions for my Shield 40 1.0 from TR Enabling....or Remsport I believe is what they are under now.

Have 9mm barrel and Magazines and 357 Sig and use the 40 Magazines.

Has run flawlessly for several years.

I have the Shield 40 (v1.0) and a factory 9mm barrel and mags. Couple thousand rounds later and never a single issue. I recently bought a wolf threaded 9mm conversion barrel but have not yet had it to the range.

I have the factory 9 mm Barrel for my .40 had it since they started makeing the first shield paid 75 dollars from S&W then they found out what people were doing and quit selling them never had a single problem with it.
