Looking at copsplus, I only see MP9L versions. that should be fine... but here is the problem. I really would like a light on my duty gun!!!

Anyone know if the regular 9 will work? I'm pretty sure it wont but I figured I asked...

maybe another model? like the MP45 model will work for a mp9 pro with a light?

thanks!

A duty holster must fit the gun properly, so don't try anything other than what's made for it. I would think with all the departments out there going to the M&P there would be a dedicated holster for light equipped guns, the clincher might be the longslide.

No such thing. Only long, No light holsters

Just purchase a FOBUS Tactical Hoster for a MP22, actually order the one for a MP9, works fine with the small light i have on the rails. just google fobus tactical hosters, they have several diferent sizes.

So you have the 9 Pro with the 5inch barrel I take it? What made you choose that as a duty carry instead of the standard 4.25inch 9 that Departments who issue them use? Lights and holsters are easy to get for those.

Very long story.

Short version -

I have a mk23 which is too big to carry

Looked at g21 and mp45. While looking at them, I see my lgs finally got the mp9 pro in (I call once a month to see if they have it) so I got that.

I was thinking of carrying a 45, but from experience, realized 9mm has never failed me, out my friend who had to use it recently. It also surpasses the 12" magical number.

So now I have a mp9c and a mp9 pro. If it's an issue with the pro, I'll just get a regular mp9 too, but I feel like I spent too much money already lol.

Not sure, i can see that the barrel of the 22 is the same length as a mp9, and there is about 1/2" to 3/4" room to spare, plus on there web site it has several diferent versions. i know this one fit MP9 and 40, along with a few glocks. so if you look for the 9pro version or a version of a glock that has a 5" barrel. you could probably get one that fit. it is a diferent type draw than straight out isnce it has flashlight, you can find video's on u-tube though to see.
