I was very happy with how far MSU progressed in the basketball playoffs this year! Michigan is a state that needed the positive publicity badly. The downtown area was safe and friendly the entire weekend and good times were had by all. Detroit did a wonderful job organizing the event, just as it did for the super bowl a few years back. And how great was it to have MSU go to the finals the exact time the playoffs were held in Detroit? Also, congratulations are extended to North Carolina! What an awesome basketball team they have!

A big +1. LSU had the "honor" of having their arse handed to them in game two of the tournament by NC-I was really pulling for MSU

I think the Spartans were the best coached team. I think they played up to their capabilities better than any other team. They beat two other number 1 seeds.

I saw many more talented teams, with better individual players, fail to play as well together. Talent alone does not make a team.

It shows what a group of young men, who work together, with every ounce of energy and effort, can accomplish.

Those guys are winners!

I'm excited for the next couple of seasons. Good core returning and some very good talent expected to show up.

Told my daughter she is at MSU at the right time. I got there the fall AFTER the '79 basketball championship and got to witness Muddy Waters as football coach.

I'm from Lansing, more or less, in the same way some people list the local County Jail as their address. Anyway, good to hear that things were calm. I was there for the various and sundry riots related to games against Ohio State. I still remember when the State Police shot up all their riot control agents and had to send away for more (Next Day Air) to be ready for night two. Fun times, fun times.

How much of a cut in pay do college basketball thugs have to take when they turn pro? I still have not heard back from my suggestion to change the coach title in the NBA to Parole Officer.
