Shield Plus slide compatibility question

As a California resident I am regulated by the approved Roster.

Which the Shield Plus NON RED DOT SLIDE is on the list. I can buy this no problem.

The optic blocks the loaded chamber indicator which is required. So that variant is not approved for the roster.

It is however perfectly legal for me to swap parts.

Question (probably already know where I'm going with this).

Will the Optic Ready Slide for the Shield plus directly swap on the iron sight slide with the loaded chamber indicator.

Thanks,

Can’t help you on slides but I have swapped barrels between old models and plus with no problems.
I am running a red dot on my original Shield with an EGW base replacing the rear sight.

I have a first gen shield that I bought an optic ready for. The packaging is for a shield, shield 2.0 and shield plus.

Outside of a dry fire function check which went as expected I have not swapped the slide over yet. So you shouldn’t have any issues changing out the slide.

I was sold a M&P shield OR slide at Turner's Outdoorsman in California, for my regular shield. It does not have a loaded chamber indicator required by the state . The slides part # 3015613. The website says it fits a 1.0,2.0 and plus models.
When you buy it, it should replace your slide with the chamber indicator.
The swap is easy.

Yes.

With the exception of the Shield X all 9mm, 30SC and 40 cal slides will swap onto any 9mm, 30SC and 40 frames.

I am fairly certain a Shield X slide will work on normal shield frames, and that 4in shield slides will work on the X, but I don't have one yet to experiment with.

45 shields do there own thing.
