I had never heard of Vashti Bunyan until four or five years ago, but once I heard this piece (known as both "Traveling North" and "The Train Song"), I knew I would be playing it for the rest of my life....

Now you've got me hooked on her music as well...thanks!

I first heard this tune in the mid-'70s, when a friend who is a professional musician used to perform it in his sets. When I asked, he told me he got it from the "Judy Collins Concert" album...but she got it from Billy Edd Wheeler, who wrote it...
