If Alto Reed was still blowin', there would still be great Sax to be heard. Alas, he is on a long and lonesome highway.

(Oh, yes, my wife brought me along to see one of his last live performances from front and center.)

Pic is of him playing the Bass Saxophone.
He was a Sailor as well.

Doing a Marine Electronics install, some years ago, someone yelled out, "Hey Alto".
I turned around, he turned also and I said... "what do you want".
When asked why I replied I said, "I play Alto Sax".

The rest of the day we talked about music, sailing and fresh fish.

The Billy Joel Channel is back on SiriusXM for a limited time.

I really like his stuff, from The Nylon Curtain and back, not of fan much of his "newer" stuff . An arguement could be made as to who is the better piano player, BJ or Elton John.

I'll give the nod to Billy Joel, since he write his stuff by himself, where EJ collaborates with Bernie Taupin.

But both are great. Old Elton John stuff is awesome.

Laundry Day

Something new from the kids in the family.
They're doing okay for a bunch of 20 year olds.
They just need a good Country Western tune and a pedal steel guitar.
"When Cowgirls are singing"
Might give that tune to them.
