Music You Enjoy

FWIW, this "remastered" version sounds exactly like the original studio version I grew up listening to.

I remember when KSHE FM 95 St. Louis did a countdown of the 1,000 top classic rock songs that wrapped up at 12 midnight 12/31/1979 - and they declared Led Zepplin's Stairway To Heaven to be #1 - "THE song of the 1970's"...

And as any good child of the 70's, the first song I learned on guitar was "Stairway to Heaven".

The day Cannonball Adderley died, a DJ advised to get your reel to reels ready. The next day he started playing everything Adderley ever played.
Keeping the brakes on the old machine working is an occasional fun chore.
When in practice, I blow this tune a bit differently but it shows his influence.

As I've advised the Gals I've met, why send a Dear John letter to a guy, Autumn Leaves is better :D
In fourth grade, the teacher called my Mom to school, and said he's not paying attention and keeps looking out the window.
Then just as the wind started blowing I said to look out thru the window and sang,

The falling leaves
drift by the window
The Autumn leaves
of red and gold.

Two things were discovered.
I should learn to play an instrument and never sing. :D

As serious music students around age 15, we were hired to play Christmas in July at a children's hospital wards in NYC.
Then took the money to buy the kids even more toys.

I was brough up listening to music from an early age and love it all. My faves include Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zep, Police, BobDylan. Soul music was a big like in the early 70's , but one singer who stood out from them all for me was George McCrea. I was given 2 of his albums mid 70's and have listened to his music ever since. Absolutely brilliant singer. Rock your baby, it's been so long, I can't leave you alone, you can have it all.........just some of his brilliant music.

I am a brand new Jason Aldean convert.

As per forum rules I won't post it.

I hear ya'. Gotta' stand with those who are speaking up for your values. As the song says, Don't try to pull that kinda' stuff HERE in my town.

In Spokane 2020/2021 we didn't have to deal with the kind of long-term lawlessness issues they had in Portland and Seattle - because our local LEO agencies took decisive actions to nip things in the bud before they got out of hand. Pretty much what Jason is talking about in his "controversial" new song.

IMO, it is a lesson well-learned, and a sentiment that seems pretty popular with his fan-base, despite all the push-back he's getting from the MSM.
