Come to think of it, I do remember a jazz version years ago that the performer dubbed "Furry Lisa."

Beethoven has inspired musicians for hundreds of years, and continues to this day. This famous riff is a reworking of his Fifth Symphony.

On this date in 1971, John Fogarty was sued by a music publisher for allegedly using parts of Little Richard's "Good Golly, Miss Molly" in his song "Travelin' Band". The publisher later dropped the suit.
