Composer Aaron Copland wrote "Fanfare for the Common Man" as the US entered World War II.
"It's a piece that feels like it was written by God," says jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard. "Whenever I hear it, it stops me in my tracks and makes me reflect on the goodness of man.
