I am looking into this brake. does it mark the gun? cost? does it make the gun shoot better? pics? i want one for a N-frame .45 25-5.

I suspect it may possible leave a mark on the barrel. I had one I donated to the SWCA auction in Boise, I had never tried it as I was concerned it might mar the bluing.

Those were made for the 25-2's and earlier in 45 ACP. I doubt the larger diameter of the 45 Colt in a 25-5 would make a difference but I would carefully check the exit diameter.

I have several for K-38s. I don't see any difference with it on or off in terms of accuracy.
It's supposed to reduce recoil.
The ones for the 1955 Targets are harder to find than the ones for the K-38s. If it is secured tight, it won't hurt the finish. However, if it loosens up, it will move around and then you have a finish problem.
