I was having a few FTE's (that I really didn't like) so after reaserch here I got the JP yellow spring kit and adjusted the ejector (as per other post) went to the range shot approx 400 rds. No FTE's at all. I shot Federal bulk, some Gander Spitfires (Federal) and CCI minimags. Strange thing was I had 2 FTF's from the minimags only. I like it.:D:D One more thing, Got a shroud from Tacticool22, Great piece, easy to install, very good workmanship and just seems to finish off the barrel. Thanks Tacticool. I will try to get pick up later, but going to burn more ammo :)

Rimfire ammunition is pretty unreliable, so it some FTF can be expected.

What are you using for lubricant? Back when it was about -5 or colder and I was using "WeaponShield" for my 15-22 I would get 1 or 2 FTF's per magazine. Now I use Breakfree CLP for lubrication for its better performance in the cold.

Here are some mods that can be done to improve your rifle.

Use Slip2000 EWL when you run the gun---the gun likes it, so do all other ARs. put it in the charging handle channel, and on the outside of the bolt carriage and drip some in the holes on the carriage--be generous.

^I would agree to lube all the parts you mentioned, but running the rifle too "wet" can cause the excess lubricant/oil to hang on to all the gunk and other stuff so common w/ .22 ammo, and dirty up the rifle faster.

At least that's what I saw last weekend. . .

I have been using CLP starting long ago in all M16's I wa issued in the Army. Great stuff even back in the 70's. At the range today shot 500 plus rds without a FTF, OOB, or FTE. only 3 rds not fired. On the 15/22 pistol I had a few FTE. Might try changing the springs in it even though they are Blue. I know 500 rds is not much, but I also shot .40 and 9mm pistols and 12ga shot gun. Nice couple of hours spent.
