Hello again I just picked up a mod. 19-3 with a 6in barrel and near perfect shape and would like to know the year of build. The s/n is 4k80811 and thanks again for all the help you guy's have given me.

The book puts your 19 at 1974. Beautiful piece and great family of 19s.

Thanks much everyone for the information,I would love to get a 3in. 19 but up here in Canada I think there even harder to come by,just have to keep hunting.

Nice looking family. I see the resemblance. My very first Smith & Wesson was a six inch Model 19. I still have it. As others have stated, your family isn't done, no, not buy a long shot. What about nickle? What about the Model 19P, in .38 Special, or the 3" or 5". What about TT, TH, RR and WO?
There are hundreds of combinations. Good luck and keep us posted on your growing family.

Very nice and Congrats!

Good luck with them, and enjoy them!

I have a similar trio, with the difference being my 6" is nickle.
