I just added one and thought I would do a group picture for posterity.

Top left: Newest addition,, Nickel -5 with added light colored rosewood.
Top right: -5 shipped to US State Dept. Letter calls it bead blast blue.
Bottom left: like new -3.
Bottom right: 66-1 that I bought new in 1978. It's been my cold weather carry piece for over 4 decades. Trying out some new Uncle Mikes grips.

OK, it's lunch time. Bye.

Hard to beat a 2 1/2" Model 19 . . .

Here is my favorite, wearing ivory (yes, I have the walnut stocks stashed away).

SHOWOFF!

And, justifiably so. Nice eye candy Tom!
What kind of stocks did the letter on the State Dept say it shipped with??

The letter just says round butt grips, but WCCPHD says Diplomatic Service model 19-5 were ordered with Pachmayer Compac Pro like this one.

It was shipped to State Department, DS/SEL/Log SA-7. DS= Diplomatic Service. 615 units. I didn't know State had so many trigger pullers.

I bought it many years ago at the N. Atlanta Trade Center.

Those are some gorgeous K frames. I have to ask if the 66 is a cold weather gun. What do you carry in warm weather?

Actually I carry a Kahr MK9 Micro Stainless with self installed Elite trigger in a Bianchi 100 Pro, loaded with Black Talon 147 gr. Hides under a t-shirt very well. I call it my Wal-Mart gun.

Very nice collection W-4. I only have one, a M19-3 from 1970.
They are hard to find in my neck of the woods and when you do they are getting expensive. But what isn't now.
I have to say that the k-frame S&W's are handsome devils no mater what the barrel length.

Pretty amazing the cool stuff that shows up at these Atlanta area shows! ;)

Beautiful revolvers! One of the best-looking ones that S&W ever made. I have a nickle 19 with a 2.5" barrel that I paid about $250 for in 1989 or so. I used to keep it with me when I closed a parking deck in downtown Charlotte when I was finishing college. When I finished school, I took off for the West Coast for about a month, and it went with me driving cross-country. I still have it, but I haven't fired it in many years. Someone on here informed me several years ago that it is a 1975 model.
