I have a new 6" Colt Python & a 6" S&W 686-4. Just got new grips for the S&W.

Been looking for the "right" grips for a while. Finally found ones close to what I wanted on ebay thru "HRV Grips". Called them to see if they could make a couple of changes. The ones they had pictured had finger grooves which I didn't want and to add silver S&D medallions. They said they could. Ordered them & got then in about a week and they are exactly what I wanted - beautiful grips.

My question is "HRV Grips" just a middleman? As seen in one of the photos the grips are stamped "Altamont"?

In the past I tried contacting Altamont directly & never got a proper response.

Very nice, and they should both be fun to shoot and very accurate. I can't tell from your photos...is the Python stainless, or did you manage to get a hold of one of the new blued versions? I didn't think that they were available yet. Enjoy!

Just remember, one goes clockwise and
the other goes counter clockwise.

And to open you pull back latch on one
and push forward on ther other.
