My buddy has one, it shoots like yours in his hand or mine, I still haven't figured out why I don't own one too.

I like my M&P9 2.0 with the 5" barrel.

1750 rounds, one failure, a dud American Eagle round, solid primer strike. Don.

The M&P 2.0 series are terribly underrated. I went through several of the recent so-called "Glock 19 killers" before selling each one for various reasons. When I finally got to the M&P 2.0 Compact I made up my mind to keep that one. It actually fit my hand and had great sights out of the box. Yeah the trigger is merely okay, but it's a lot better than a Glock trigger and there are ways to fix it.

Unfortunately plastic fantastic fans tend to s---talk every non-Euro polymer 9mm out there and the M&P is no exception.

M&P's are certainly OK and then some specially compared to a gluck for me . We only have 5 M&ps between my wife and I ! The first handgun I bought was a 1911 and I do tend to slide a lw commander in my holster
around our rural county but when on a road trip or big city its my 40sw m&p in my holster .

GTS197 Looking at the cracks in on your steel you have just about knocked the top off of it . Good shooting .

Lots of rounds on that steel. I have a replacement ready to hang when it fails [emoji106]

Mines a 5" PC and can get all 17 on a 6" x 8" target at 25yds.

...I remember a quote, something like:
'' a mediocre weapon in trained motivated hands is better than a great weapon in untrained and/or unmotivated hands'''
--for real life situations, training and motivation count a lot

Great shooting there. The M&P lineup is one of the most underrated, under appreciated pistol lines out there.

I'd take an M&P over a Glock any day of the week.

I got one two weeks ago and it was very accurate in my hands. It's the model thats optics ready and has the flat face trigger.

Sadly it's back for warranty work. The chamber was extremely rough and put scratches on the circumference of the brass that can be felt with a finger nail. I asked for a new barrel. Rehoning the chamber might make it over sized and wreck the accuracy it was giving.

Oh, and I got my rebate approval email Friday. 10-12 day wait.

I like them but not for me. I am a lefty. I research all firearms extensively before purchase and because I teach. The M&P slide lock/slide release does not work for a lefty. I know all the **** about it is a slide lock and not a release stuff but I also know that those that are trying to go fast use it as a slide release, utilizing their thumb instead of going over the top. The fact is that my Glock 45 Gen 5 works fine that way but the M&P does not! I have mine up for sale for that reason. there is no reason for this. If It works for a right handed shooter, it should also work for a left handed shooter. It is a flawed design that needs to be addressed.

I had let a friend use my M&P9 2.0 for a Concealed Carry class. I decided to take it to the range before I cleaned it and put it back in my night stand. I hadn't shot it for nearly a year. The target shows how I did with the 1st magazine at 20+ yds. This made me a happy camper. Yes, I had a few flyers, but that's OK. I had forgotten how well it shoots.
