My daughter knows of my fondness for these S&Ws asked me if $400 is a good price for a decent 6906 (late one with rounded trigger guard and Novak sights) Based on the condition in the pics and the current prices on Gunbroker, I said it was.

It will soon be mine for Christmas!...:D

I have half a dozen of the 12 round mags (all rebuilt with new OEM springs), new OEM hammer and recoil springs, a black single side 469 safety, and a trimmed down stainless slide stop that were stashed in my S&W parts box. I even have a NOS grip that I picked up when I bought a couple for the last 6906 I had.

Funny thing is that I have recently tired of carrying my Glock 26 because it is so wide, and was thinking of what slimmer pistol to replace it with. Serendipity, I guess!

It will be a good mate to my 4506!

Merry Christmas! A wonderful present from a loving daughter.:)

I have a variety of 6900 and 3900 series Smiths in my safe, but I favor my 3953 for EDC. My wife says I need a 12-step group.

My 3953 fits my IWB Don Hume H715-M WCS (#28-1) holster along with my 3913 models, 6904 and 6906 round trigger guard pistols. One holster for all those great CCWs.;)

I don't think the mounting screws are in too the slide but I can't know without removing the mount. It is only the two magazines. I would say it's in the highest end of the range that I've seen on these on the big auction site.

Thank you all for the input and info

Wrong thread?????

My last CDC marked 6906 I foolishly let go to fund another acquisition (an opportunity for a Glock 43X which is not on the Commiefornia roster), and regretted it immediately. In regretted it even more when I shot the Glock 43X! UGH:confused::confused::confused:

The 469 I recently got a few months back was great, but didn't fit the hand as well (subsequently I did not shoot it as well) as the 6906, and the 469 has more sharp edges for IWB carry. In short, it was just NOT a 6906!

This will be my primary EDC weapon.

I don't think you have a mental disorder if your condition does not interfere with "normal" living. Do you drive while fondling your revolver? Do you forgo other priority functions like paying mortgage, voting in person, taking out the trash, tipping your bartenders and waitresses?

I'm only up to 15. 2 are gen2's the rest are 3's with one being the very unique 1013- Thanks BMCM. Spent a lot of scratch accumulating a sufficient quantity of mags for each or I'd have more.

Im glad I still have half a dozen of the 469 and 6906 mags. I only got two mags with the 4506, and bought two NIW with black followers for $100. Yikes, that's $50 each! That was cheap, the others I saw were $75 to $80 each. Ouch!

Holy Cow! My daughter buying my Christmas present 6906, and has 39,000 state background checks ahead of her! The backlog in Oregon is so bad, it may take months....

Update: Apparently it is an ongoing problem in Oregon. Most dealers are using the "nuclear option". Since their background check system is based on the federal law, the Federal Law says that if the state does not respond to the background check within 72 hours (3 days) the dealers can release after 3 days. The state is hopelessly backed up for months, the dealers are legally releasing them. California's system is based ob CA law, with 10 day waits, and a 30 day cap on holds.
