My AR setup-Too Complex?

Hey man it's your gun have fun. I don't have an AR but if I did it would not look like that. Either a red dot or scope not both. Depending want I planned for it.

I prefer the Mini 14 to the Ar-15 in real world use as they are extremely reliable and do a good job of shucking any dirt out of the action rather than grinding to a halt like the close tolerances AR-15.
E.
The open action of the Garand, M14, M1 Carbine and Mini-14 have all proven much more susceptible to jams due to dirt ingress than the closed action of the AR-15.

I have personally only stopped an M16A2 from working by feeding it ammo caked in mud. I would never do that to my own rifle. Of course, they also don't like running dry...but that's more an operator error.

Simple and to the point.

Colt CRE-18, Leupold illuminated 4x12

Mag-Pul 45 offset irons. Rifle is 1/2 MOA.

IMHO, needs to be nothing else.

"My AR setup-Too Complex?"

Yes. Yes, it is... but if it makes you happy. You know you've gone over the edge as a "Walmart operator" or "mall ninja" if you also wear 511s bloused, wear a thigh holster with G17/33 round mag, have grown a full beard and eat MREs several times a month.

In all seriousness, do what makes you happy.

I don't have an AR. But I think your rifle as it comes from the box unless there is nothing that is in need of immediate repair is a rifle that would serve you well, the same as my 3030.

Just right if that is the way you want it.
More than I have on mine but that is mine and not yours.
Enjoy the heck out of it.
