Congrats. My LGS has a new one in the case I've been eyeing for a few days now… Every time I think I'm out… A new gun pulls me back in!

Handy little things! Love mine.

It's a great gun and I and carry mine everyday. :D

Are those the original grips?
They seem to be shipping with boot grips now.
My new 640 Pro should be at my FFL on Wednesday.
I plan on installing my Ahrends Cocobolo finger grove boot grips on mine. It will be carried in my Lobo Original Pancake holster daily.

Best,
Rick

Yes, they are the original grips that came on it. :) I was carrying a 642 before I got it. It took a little getting used to when I first got it as far as the difference in weight. But I shoot it so much better then the 642 its worth it. Also now that I carry it all the time I hardly even notice the extra weight.

Those are definitely not the factory original grips. Love the gun, hope he decides to change the grips. While I love Ahrends and Altamont, the VZ gips look amaing on the 640 Prp.

What's the going price on a 640 pro these days?

I bought mine in July of 2014 and paid $699.00 plus tax. I have seen them in a couple of my LGS now for the low 7's. Gunbroker has a few from the low to high $700.00 range.

riferrat38 was asking Jim1392; Jim's grips are factory. ;)

@ Jim1392,
I'm freaking embarrassed to say how much I paid!
Round here, you just can't find these. So I grabbed it. No regrets.

Don't be. My feeling is sometimes it doesn't really matter what you paid as long as you are happy with what you buy. I know there has been a few times I have bought a gun and I know I overpaid for it, but I just wanted it that bad. :D

I paid the $725 buy it now price on Gunbroker.
There were no bids on the $700 starting price, and I might have been able to get it for that, but I have decided that the 640 Pro will be my EDC, so I paid the higher price to be done with it. At my age, I don't like to wait. Should be at LGS tomorrow, and I have loaded 200 rounds of plus pee practice ammo for a trip to the range.

Best,
Rick
